O Time, you have neglected the rights we are owed.

أسرفتyou have gone too far فيin بخسdiminishing حظthe share of ربmany a فتىyoung man
أسرفت في بخس حظ رب فتى
منof بعضa part of ماعنهwhat—from him يروىis transmitted العلمknowledge والأدبand literature
من بعض ماعنه يروى العلم والأدب
You have gone too far in diminishing many a young man's share;
Knowledge and literature are but part of what is transmitted from him.
