إن ساعد الروم اتفاق جرى
سيسعدwill bring success to الإسلامIslam توفيقdivine favor
سيسعد الإسلام توفيق
If a chance occurrence aided the Romans,
If Rome's accord comes to pass
Divine favor will bring Islam success.
Islam will prosper, God willing,
لاno عجباwonder أنthat أخذواthey seized باطلاwrongfully
لا عجبا أن أخذوا باطلا
دمياطDamietta فالكافرfor the unbeliever مرزوقprovided with sustenance
دمياط فالكافر مرزوق
No wonder they wrongfully seized
No wonder they pursued falsehood,
Damietta—for the unbeliever is provided for.
Damietta, for the infidel is sustained.
