Oh, the joy of the Ancient House when

it is said, “This is Ahmad ibn Ali!”

The finest traveler to halt has reached it, and turned

the reins away from it—the finest traveler to depart.

So I can almost see the pale camels returning,

bearing the most righteous of those who halt and depart.

    Go, enfolded in God's protection,

until you return with your hope fulfilled.

For how often you have made the pilgrimage through what you bestow,

and spared the forelegs of horses and camels.

If anyone could dispense with the journey to it,

you could, through your righteous deeds.
