أَناI وَالنَّدىand generosity سَيْفانِtwo swords فيin
أَنا وَالنَّدى سَيْفانِ في
يَدِthe hand of ماجِدٍa noble man نَصَرَchampioned الْمَكارِمْnoble deeds
يَدِ ماجِدٍ نَصَرَ الْمَكارِمْ
I and generosity are two swords in
I and the dew are swords in
the hand of a noble man who has championed noble deeds.
The hand of Majid who helps virtues triumph.
هذاthis يَفُلُّblunts بِهِwith it الْخُطُوmisfor-
هذا يَفُلُّ بِهِ الْخُطُو
بُ-tunes وَذاand that يَقُدُّcleaves بِهِwith it الْجَماجِمْskulls
بُ وَذا يَقُدُّ بِهِ الْجَماجِمْ
With this he blunts misfor-
With this he makes plans dissolve,
tunes, and with that he cleaves skulls.
With that he cuts off heads.
