رضواthey were content بالأمانيwith wishes عنinstead of مداركةattaining المنىdesires
رضوا بالأماني عن مداركة المنى
أولوthose possessed of العجزhelplessness والراضيand one content with أمانيهhis wishes عاجزhelpless
أولو العجز والراضي أمانيه عاجز
They settled for wishes rather than attaining their desires—
They were content with hopes instead of attaining wishes
the helpless; and whoever is content with his wishes is helpless.
The incapable and the one satisfied with his hopes is incapable
ودانتand bowed لأدنىto the lowliest of الخلقcreatures خوفاًin fear رقابهمtheir necks
ودانت لأدنى الخلق خوفاً رقابهم
فحاجزهمthus their hindrance عنfrom مرتقىthe ascent to العزhonor حاجزa barrier
فحاجزهم عن مرتقى العز حاجز
And their necks bowed in fear to the lowliest of creatures;
Their necks bowed down to the lowest of creation out of fear
thus their hindrance is a barrier to the heights of honor.
So their barrier from ascending glory is a barrier
رعىmay guard اللَهGod قلباًa heart انif قطعتyou cross مفاوزاwastelands
رعى اللَه قلباً ان قطعت مفاوزا
بهwith it للمناياtoward death قالit says انيindeed, I فائزam victorious
به للمنايا قال اني فائز
May God guard a heart that, if you cross wastelands
May God protect a heart that crossed desolate spaces
with it toward death, says, 'Indeed, I am victorious.'
With which he said to mortality, "I am triumphant"
