These are the tamarisk hills of Yabrin.
This is my beloved among the gazelles of meadows
And our slayers are the eyes of the wide-eyed women.
And the killers of us are the eyes of the eye

So take your mind away, the causes of love

Seduce minds and the mind of the infatuated

And lower your eyelids as long as sorrow sends
In the heart by a glance from an eye and eyelids.
To the heart a glance of an onlooker and eyelids

And love’s greatest glory lies in abasement.
And love is the height of his glory in humiliation
