يا فاضلاً جلت مناقب فضله
عنbeyond حصرهاenumerating them fully فيon الطرسthe parchment بالأقلامwith pens
عن حصرها في الطرس بالأقلام
O virtuous one, whose excellence has merits too great
O virtuous one whose merits sublime
to be fully recorded on parchment with pens.
Transcend confining by pens to stone
لاno غروwonder وانand if امسيتyou have become ذخراًa treasure للورىfor humankind
لا غرو وان امسيت ذخراً للورى
وملاذهاand its refuge بالفضلthrough virtue والأنعامand beneficence
وملاذها بالفضل والأنعام
No wonder if you have become a treasure for humankind,
No wonder you became a treasure
and its refuge through virtue and beneficence.
For all peoples, their refuge, their home
فبدرso, through the pearls of لفظكyour speech عمدةmainstay الحكامthe judges إذas
فبدر لفظك عمدة الحكام إذ
منfrom درpearls فضلكyour bounty عمدةmainstay الأيتامthe orphans
من در فضلك عمدة الأيتام
Thus, through the pearls of your speech, you are the judges’ mainstay, as
For the star of your speech leads rulers
through the pearls of your bounty, you are the orphans’ mainstay.
While your merits sustain orphans alone
