to rise through the treasures of his lineage.
With the loftiness of his high origins

A sign lies in what you complain of to us
A sign not complaining to us
in your two legs: you have gained its antidote [uncertain reading].
With your legs excelling with its rivers
يريدwishes لكfor you اللَهGod منamong خلقهHis creatures
يريد لك اللَه من خلقه
وأنتand you المطيعthe obedient one لخلافهto its contrary
وأنت المطيع لخلافه
God wishes for you, among His creatures—
God wants for you from His creation
and you are obedient to its contrary—
While you obey against His command
جلوسكyour sitting فضلاًas an honor وكلand everyone يقومstands up
جلوسك فضلاً وكل يقوم
لفضلكfor your excellence طوعاًwillingly علىupon ساقهhis leg
لفضلك طوعاً على ساقه
the honor of sitting, while everyone rises
Your sitting is virtue and all stand
willingly for your excellence, upon his own leg.
For your virtue willingly on their legs
