لنا عند إمساك السحاب سحاب

Is a cloud to us when the clouds withhold their rain.

When we grasp the clouds, we have clouds

فخلنا برؤيا وجهه الشمس في الضحى

يقد لها من صفحة البدر جلباب

So, seeing his face, we imagined the sun at midmorning,

So let us see the face of the sun at dawn

With a cloak cut for it from the full moon’s face.
