I seek protection for you, lest you take worldly things in exchange

For nearness, and accept a paltry price for what is precious.

The Pleiades are no match for my earring or the pearls of my mouth,

Nor is the crescent of the dark nights half my anklet.

And of all people, the one most at ease in life, whether near or far,

Is he who squanders his wealth on this adorned, smiling mouth.
