The house leaked upon us one night,

While I was among my faithful friends.

while I was among brethren of purity.

قيل لي ماذا جرى قلت لهم

قيل لي ماذا جرى قلت لهم

حسبنا الله تعالى وكفى

حسبنا الله تعالى وكفى

I was asked, “What happened?” I told them,

I was asked, “What happened?” I said to them:

“God Most High is sufficient for us—and enough.”

“God Most High is sufficient for us, and He suffices.”
