لحاmay curse اللَهGod دنياa world ماnot ذممناwe condemned فعالهاits deeds
لحا اللَه دنيا ما ذممنا فعالها
بجهلout of ignorance وبعضand some الذمthe censure أكثرهmost of it جهلignorance
بجهل وبعض الذم أكثره جهل
May God curse a world whose deeds we have not condemned
God guided the world we criticized for its deeds
out of ignorance—some censure is mostly ignorance—
With ignorance and most of the blame was ignorance
ولكنand yet علىon the basis of علمknowledge بأنof the fact that صروفهاits vicissitudes
ولكن على علم بأن صروفها
يموتdies بهاthrough them ندبa noble man ويحيand lives بهاthrough them نذلa base man
يموت بها ندب ويحي بها نذل
but knowing that, through its vicissitudes,
Yet knowingly that its circumstances
a noble man dies and a base man lives.
Kill glory with it and revive vileness with it
