Seek refuge with Nizam of the Two Courts, the well-pleasing one,
Enjoy the system of the two dignities, Ridha
when the sons of time shun you.
When the sons of time avoid you
واجلُand clear away بهِthrough him عنfrom ناظريكَyour two eyes القَذىthe mote
واجلُ بهِ عن ناظريكَ القَذى

إذا لِئامُ القومِ أعشَوك
And through him clear the mote from your eyes,
Remove the motes from your eyes through it
when the ignoble among the people dim your sight.
When the vile of the people host you

And endure the unfriendliness of his servants:
And have patience over the loneliness of its youth
No rose is without thorns.
The rose must have thorns
