دعَوهُLeave him ماwhatever شاءَhe wished فعَلhe did
دعَوهُ ما شاءَ فعَل
سِيانِboth are alike صدَّhe turned away أوor وَصَلhe drew close
سِيانِ صدَّ أو وَصَل
Leave him be; he does whatever he wishes.
Let him call whatever he wants, and do
It is all the same whether he turns away or draws close.
It's all the same, whether he draws near or turns away
فكمfor how often رأيناwe have seen قبلَهاbefore it
فكم رأينا قبلَها
أسودَblacker منthan ذاthis ونَصَلand its color faded
أسودَ من ذا ونَصَل
For how often before it have we seen
For how many before her did we see
one blacker than this, whose color faded.
