هيهاتَ هيهاتَ كلُّ الناسِ قد قُلِبُوا

هيهاتَ هيهاتَ كلُّ الناسِ قد قُلِبُوا

في قالبِ الغدرِ والإعجابِ والَملَقِ

في قالبِ الغدرِ والإعجابِ والَملَقِ

Far from it, far from it! All people have been cast

in the mold of treachery, conceit, and flattery.

فإن تخلّقَ منهم بالنُّهى رجلٌ

فإن تخلّقَ منهم بالنُّهى رجلٌ

عادت به نفسُه لؤماً إلى الخلُقِ

عادت به نفسُه لؤماً إلى الخلُقِ

So if a man among them adopts the ways of reason,

his soul, out of baseness, brings him back to his nature.
