ضالِ والعالَمُ بَعضُ

You are all excellence and bene-

ficence; the world is but a part.

وأنا اليومَ كما تع

لمُ في بَسطِي قَبضُ

لمُ في بَسطِي قَبضُ

And today I, as you

know, am straitened in my ease.

ما لِعرقِ الرزق إن لَم

ما لِعرقِ الرزق إن لَم

يُجرِهِ جاهُكَ نَبضُ

يُجرِهِ جاهُكَ نَبضُ

The vein of livelihood, unless

your influence sets it flowing, has no pulse.
