And a woman, slender as a braided rein—when she gazes,
When she sings, the plaited one loosens her reins,
Babylon yields to her in the art of sorcery.
Babylon itself admits her mastery of magic's art,

Slender of form, no bough sways so gracefully
Her swaying form is no withered branch,
When she walks with coy allure, nor is the full moon so perfect.
Neither incomplete the moon when she glides by.
