بسكينة التّقوى مقام مناجِ
When you went to the prayer ground, standing
When I passed by the mosque standing
With piety’s serenity, in the stance of one communing in prayer,
With the tranquility of piety a standing place of intimate discourse

Amid a clamorous army that gladdens the rightly guided,
In an army the vanguard of which gives joy to the foremost of right guidance
Yet surges against those astray,
But to the foremost of error it is depressing

Of a mailed warrior who meets the spearhead with his coat of mail
A fierce crusher, plunging into every perilous strait,
In every tight spot dashing and piercing

Whose eyes shine with the good tidings of victory
