بالطالِعِ الميمونِ شَهرَ ربيعِ
Welcome to its visitor, noble in his coming,
Welcome to its noble visitor with good tidings
To the auspicious rising in the month of Rabīʿ.
On the auspicious rising of the month of Rabi'
ياO مولداًa birth فاضَتoverflowed لناfor us بركاتهits blessings
يا مولداً فاضَت لنا بركاته
فيon ليلَةِthe night of الميلادِthe birth والأسبوعِand the week
في ليلَةِ الميلادِ والأسبوعِ
O birth, whose blessings have overflowed for us
O a birth that has brought us blessings
On the night of the birth and throughout the week.
On the night of the nativity and the week
بلrather فيthroughout جميعall of الشهرthe month سعدكyour good fortune راجعاreturning
بل في جميع الشهر سعدك راجعا
بالصالحاتِwith good things لناfor us أسرmost gladdening رجوعِreturn
بالصالحاتِ لنا أسر رجوعِ
Rather, throughout the whole month, your good fortune returns
But throughout the whole month your happiness returns
With good things for us, in the most gladdening of returns.
With righteous deeds for us the joy of return
فيهin it بداappeared قمرُmoon السعادةِhappiness طالعاrising
فيه بدا قمرُ السعادةِ طالعا
فيat خيرِthe best of ميقاتٍan appointed time وخيرِand the best of ربوعِabodes
في خيرِ ميقاتٍ وخيرِ ربوعِ
In it the moon of happiness appeared, rising
In it the moon of happiness rose
At the best appointed time and in the best of abodes.
At the best of times and the best of meadows
هوhe واحدُone الآحادthe individuals إلاexcept أنهthat he
هو واحدُ الآحاد إلا أنه
عندat القيامthe Resurrection غداbecame جَمِيعَthe entirety of جميعِall
عند القيام غدا جَمِيعَ جميعِ
He is one among individuals, yet
He is the One of Ones though at
At the Resurrection he becomes the entirety of all,
The resurrection He will be all of all
بلوائهwith his banner المعقودbound fast ثمthen مقامهhis station الthe
بلوائه المعقود ثم مقامه ال
محمودpraised حَيثُwhere كَرامَةُthe honor of التَّشفِيعِaccepted intercession
محمود حَيثُ كَرامَةُ التَّشفِيعِ
With his banner bound fast, then his station—
With His unfurled banner, then His standing which
Praised—where lies the honor of accepted intercession.
Is praiseworthy, where the prestige of intercession
شرفٌnobility تأصَّلَtook root منfrom أرُومَةِancestral stock هاشِمٍHāshim
شرفٌ تأصَّلَ من أرُومَةِ هاشِمٍ
بمظاهرِthrough manifestations of التَأصيلِestablishing roots والتفريعand branching
بمظاهرِ التَأصيلِ والتفريع
Nobility rooted in the ancestral stock of Hāshim,
An honor rooted in the bouquet of Hashim
Through manifestations of rootedness and branching.
With manifestations of rooting and branching
نورa light تنقلpassed منfrom أبيناour father آدمAdam
نور تنقل من أبينا آدم
مُتَلَقِّبbearing a title فيamong سُجَّدٍthose prostrating وَرُكُوعand those bowing
مُتَلَقِّب في سُجَّدٍ وَرُكُوع
A light that passed from our father Adam,
A light conveyed from our father Adam
Bearing a title among those prostrating and bowing.
Addressed in prostration and genuflection
