عَيَّ الزَّمانُ بها فصارت مُضغَةً

عَيَّ الزَّمانُ بها فصارت مُضغَةً

فلها على لهواتِهِ تَردِيدُ

فلها على لهواتِهِ تَردِيدُ

Time was baffled by it, so it became a morsel;

Time has chewed her, she became like gum

And it is turned over and over at the back of his mouth.

So for her follies, she is chastised
