رِضَى المَلِكِ الأعلى يَرُوح ويَغتَدِي

رِضَى المَلِكِ الأعلى يَرُوح ويَغتَدِي

على قَبر مَولانا الإمام المؤَيَّدِ

على قَبر مَولانا الإمام المؤَيَّدِ

The favor of the Most High King comes at evening and dawn

The supreme king's pleasure walks and revels

Upon the grave of our lord, the upheld imam.

Upon the grave of our Imam, the Supported Guide

مَقَرُّ العُلى والمُلكِ والبأس والنَّدى

مَقَرُّ العُلى والمُلكِ والبأس والنَّدى

فَقُدِّس من مغنَى كريم ومشهدِ

فَقُدِّس من مغنَى كريم ومشهدِ

The abode of glory, sovereignty, valor, and bounty—

The abode of sublimity, kingdom, might and dew

So hallowed be this noble dwelling and shrine!

So hallowed from a generous, splendid tomb

ومثوى الهدى والفضل والعدل والنهي

ومثوى الهدى والفضل والعدل والنهي

فَبُورِكَ مِن مَثوى زكي ومَلحَدِ

فَبُورِكَ مِن مَثوى زكي ومَلحَدِ

And the resting place of guidance, virtue, justice, and wisdom—

And refuge of guidance, merit, justice and prohibition

So blessed be this pure resting place and burial niche!

So blessed from a chaste, pure resting place

فيا عجباً طودُ الوقارِ جلالةً

فيا عجباً طودُ الوقارِ جلالةً

ثَوى تحتَ أطباقِ الصَّفِيحِ المنَضَّدِ

ثَوى تحتَ أطباقِ الصَّفِيحِ المنَضَّدِ

So, what a marvel—a mountain of majestic dignity

What a wonder, the pillar of dignity solemnly

Rests beneath layers of stacked stone slabs.

Lies under sheets of riveted tin

وواسِطَةُ العِقد الكريم الذي له

وواسِطَةُ العِقد الكريم الذي له

مآثُر فخرٍ بين مثنى وموحدِ

مآثُر فخرٍ بين مثنى وموحدِ

And the central jewel of the noble necklace, whose

And the noble link whose glorious

Deeds of glory come in pairs and singly:

Exploits distinguish between duplicate and unique

محمد الأرضي سَلِيلُ مُحَمَّدٍ

محمد الأرضي سَلِيلُ مُحَمَّدٍ

إمامُ الهُدَى نَجلُ الإمامِ مُحَمَّدِ

إمامُ الهُدَى نَجلُ الإمامِ مُحَمَّدِ

Muhammad al-Ardi, scion of Muhammad,

Muhammad the earthly, scion of Muhammad

The imam of guidance, son of the imam Muhammad.

Imam of guidance, son of the Imam Muhammad

فيا نُخبةَ الأملاكِ غير منازع

فيا نُخبةَ الأملاكِ غير منازع

ويَا عَلَم الأعلامِ غير مُفَنَّد

ويَا عَلَم الأعلامِ غير مُفَنَّد

So, O choicest of kings, unrivaled,

O pinnacle of rulers, without peer

And O banner of banners, beyond reproach,

And standard of standards, beyond match

بَكَتكَ بلادٌ كنتَ تحمي ثُغُورَها

بَكَتكَ بلادٌ كنتَ تحمي ثُغُورَها

بِعَزمٍ أصيلٍ أو برأيِ مُسَدَّدِ

بِعَزمٍ أصيلٍ أو برأيِ مُسَدَّدِ

Lands wept for you, whose frontiers you guarded

Lands you protected weep for you

With steadfast resolve or sound judgment.

With steadfast resolve or sound strategy

وكم مَعلَمٍ للدين أوضَحتَ رَسمَهُ

وكم مَعلَمٍ للدين أوضَحتَ رَسمَهُ

بَنَى لك في الفردوسِ أرفَعَ مَصعَدِ

بَنَى لك في الفردوسِ أرفَعَ مَصعَدِ

And many a landmark of faith whose outline you made clear

And how many beacons of faith you made clear

Has built for you the loftiest ascent in Paradise.

For you, the highest ascent is built in Paradise
