قد أعقبت أيام عقبة وانزوت
عنكمfrom you وجوهfaces الغيّmisguidance والخذلانِand abandonment
عنكم وجوه الغيّ والخذلانِ
The days of ʿUqba have given way, and withdrawn
The days of ordeal have passed and gone away,
from you are the faces of misguidance and abandonment.
The frowning faces of betrayal and abandonment have departed from you.
