أو يباري في البيان قُسّه
لانثنىwould surely retreat قُسّQuss عيياًtongue-tied مفحماsilenced
لانثنى قُسّ عيياً مفحما
Or were he to rival his Quss in eloquence,
Or he who rivals the eloquent in eloquence
Quss would retreat, tongue-tied and silenced.
