فاللهso God يُجزيmay reward أبيmy father خيرَthe best الجزاءreward بماfor what
فالله يُجزي أبي خيرَ الجزاء بما
أولىhe bestowed منof النعمthe blessings الوكَّابةcopiously showering الدُرَرِthe pearls
أولى من النعم الوكَّابة الدُرَرِ
May God grant my father the finest reward for what
May Allah reward my father with the best reward
he bestowed of blessings that shower pearls.
For the abundant showers of blessings he bestowed
وكافأand may reward اللهُGod أستاذيmy teacher فإنَّfor indeed لَهُhe has
وكافأ اللهُ أستاذي فإنَّ لَهُ
حَقاًa claim عَظِيماًgreat كماas قدindeed جاءhas come فيin الخبرِthe tradition
حَقاً عَظِيماً كما قد جاء في الخبرِ
And may God reward my teacher, for he has
And may Allah reward my teacher, for he deserves
a great claim, as has indeed been related in the tradition.
Great rights, as mentioned in the tradition
واللهand God يَنفَعُmay benefit بالقرآنthrough the Qur’an جُملَتَنَاall of us
والله يَنفَعُ بالقرآن جُملَتَنَا
فهوfor it الوسيلَةُthe means of approach يومon the day of الحشرthe Gathering والوزرِand the refuge
فهو الوسيلَةُ يوم الحشر والوزرِ
And may God benefit us all through the Qur’an,
May Allah benefit our community through the Quran
for it is the means of approach and refuge on the Day of Gathering.
For it is the means on the Day of Resurrection and Reckoning
