فالله يًجزِي أبي من فَضلِ نِعمَتِهِ

خيرَ الجزاء بما أولى وما قصدا

خيرَ الجزاء بما أولى وما قصدا

May God, from the bounty of His blessing, reward my father

May God reward my father with the best of rewards

With the best reward for what he bestowed and what he intended.

For his abundant favors and good intentions

وكافأ اللهُ بالحُسنَى مُعَلِّمَنا

وكافأ اللهُ بالحُسنَى مُعَلِّمَنا

فإنه أحسَنَ التَّعلِيمَ واجتهدا

فإنه أحسَنَ التَّعلِيمَ واجتهدا

And may God recompense our teacher with the finest reward,

And may God repay our teacher with goodness

For he excelled in teaching and strove diligently.

For he taught well and strove diligently

والحمدُ لِلّهِ خَتماً بعد مفتتح

والحمدُ لِلّهِ خَتماً بعد مفتتح

على مواهبَ لا تُحصَى لها عددا

على مواهبَ لا تُحصَى لها عددا

And praise be to God in closing, after the opening,

And praise be to God in conclusion after beginning

For gifts whose number cannot be counted.

For countless gifts that cannot be numbered
