I have a love for you, and I never cease sending forth

My love for you still drives me onward

From it, praise that fills the lands.

With praise that fills the lands afar

ليسَ البيانُ مؤدياً تفسيره

ليسَ البيانُ مؤدياً تفسيره

قد أعجز الترسيل والأشعارا

قد أعجز الترسيل والأشعارا

Eloquence cannot convey its meaning;

Expression cannot convey its meaning

It has defied prose and poetry.

Beyond what verse and prose can par

واصفح فإن الوقت أعجلني فما

واصفح فإن الوقت أعجلني فما

وفيته قصدي بها معشارا

وفيته قصدي بها معشارا

And pardon me, for time has hurried me, so I have not

So pardon me, for time has hastened me

Given it, through these verses, even a tenth of what I intended.

And my intent, I could not fully share
