لِلَّهِto God (expressing admiration) منهfrom him بِكرُa maiden فكرٍof thought ألبِسَتwas clothed
لِلَّهِ منه بِكرُ فكرٍ ألبِسَت
ثوبَthe robe الجمالِof beauty علىover تُقىpiety وعَفافِand chastity
ثوبَ الجمالِ على تُقى وعَفافِ
How wondrous his maiden of thought, clothed
To God, from Him, is every noble thought
In beauty’s robe over piety and chastity!
Dressed in the garb of virtue and modesty
