ثبت على عهد الصِّبا غير ناكث
وبادرتand I hastened toward مهواةthe abyss of الهوىlove غيرnot رائثِtarrying
وبادرت مهواة الهوى غير رائثِ
I held fast to the covenant of ardent love, never breaking faith;
I held fast to the covenant of youth, never breaking faith,
and hastened into passion’s abysses, never tarrying.
And hastened toward love’s abyss, never tarrying.
