كفه الغيم إذا انهلّ حياه
His face is the sun whenever it rises;
His face is the sun when it shines forth.
his hand, the raincloud whenever its rain pours down.
His palm is the cloud when its rain pours down.
ملكa king آثارهhis deeds مأثورةrenowned
ملك آثاره مأثورة
شهدتhave borne witness بفضلهto his excellence حتىeven عداهhis enemies
شهدت بفضله حتى عداه
A king whose exploits are handed down—
A king whose deeds are renowned;
even his foes have testified to his excellence—
Even his enemies have borne witness to his excellence.
ذوpossessed of سخاءbounty طبّقhas covered الأرضthe earth ففيso in
ذو سخاء طبّق الأرض ففي
كلevery أفقhorizon ذكرهhis renown طابis sweet شذاهits fragrance
كل أفق ذكره طاب شذاه
endowed with generosity that has filled the earth, so that
Possessed of bounty that has covered the earth, so in
in every horizon his renown breathes a sweet fragrance.
Every horizon, sweet is the fragrance of his renown.
