وبَنَىand he built بِدارِin the abode of المُلكِkingship مَسجِدَa mosque of رحمةٍmercy
وبَنَى بِدارِ المُلكِ مَسجِدَ رحمةٍ
فيهin it يُراقِبُhe is mindful of ربَّهُhis Lord ويُناجِيand communes privately
فيه يُراقِبُ ربَّهُ ويُناجِي
And he built at the seat of kingship a mosque of mercy,
Where he is mindful of his Lord and communes with Him.
تردِيدُrepeating ذِكرِthe remembrance of اللهِGod فيهin it أنسُهُhis delight
تردِيدُ ذِكرِ اللهِ فيه أنسُهُ
لاno أنسَdelight بالأرمالِin ramal rhythms والأهزاجِand hazaj rhythms
لا أنسَ بالأرمالِ والأهزاجِ
Repeating the remembrance of God there is his delight,
Not delight in ramal and hazaj rhythms.
رمضانُRamadan قَدindeed وفَّاهُhe paid it in full حَقَّthe due of عبادةٍworship
رمضانُ قَد وفَّاهُ حَقَّ عبادةٍ
تَمَّتwas complete فليسَso it is not تَمَامُهُits completion بِخَرَاجِthrough tribute
تَمَّت فليسَ تَمَامُهُ بِخَرَاجِ
He has indeed given Ramadan its due in worship,
Made complete; its completion is not through tribute.
فإمامُناso our imam فيin مسجِدِthe mosque of الأذكارdevotional remembrances أوor
فإمامُنا في مسجِدِ الأذكار أو
فيin حَومَةِthe arena of الإلجامِbridling والإسرَاجِand saddling
في حَومَةِ الإلجامِ والإسرَاجِ
So our imam is in the mosque of remembrance, or
In the arena of bridling and saddling.
