ولو السحاب الواكفات كَكَفَّهِ
لمwould not يَشكُcomplain منof مَحلِthe drought of الزمانِthe times صعيدground
لم يَشكُ من مَحلِ الزمانِ صعيد
And were the rain-pouring clouds like his palm,
no ground would complain of the drought of the times.
