And what name do two namesakes bear,

though no common kind unites them?

    For whenever this one comes,

I find comfort in the other.

And this one has no asking price,

while that one is worth a fils.

And this one's origin is the earth,

and this one's origin is the sun.

And this is one of seven

    through which the soul lives.

So from what it bears come the jinn,

and from what it lays down, humankind.

    تُ ما في أمره لَبسُ

    Now what I posed as a riddle is clear;

there is no ambiguity about it.
