والرومُ قد أقعَت على الخضراء كال

والرومُ قد أقعَت على الخضراء كال

أُسدِ الضَّوارِي يرتقبن وثوبا

أُسدِ الضَّوارِي يرتقبن وثوبا

And the Romans have crouched upon al-Khadra like

The Romans have descended upon the green lands

ravening lions waiting to spring.

Like lions of the wilderness lying in wait

عشرينَ شهراً في حروب جَمَّةٍ

عشرينَ شهراً في حروب جَمَّةٍ

ما زالَ فيهم حزبهم مَحرُوبا

ما زالَ فيهم حزبهم مَحرُوبا

For twenty months, amid many battles,

For twenty months amidst raging battles

their host has remained despoiled in their midst.

Their party remains besieged

يا ناصرِي مَن جاءَ بالصِّدق اصبروا

يا ناصرِي مَن جاءَ بالصِّدق اصبروا

فالرومُ تَحمِي دِينَها الكذُوبَا

فالرومُ تَحمِي دِينَها الكذُوبَا

O supporters of him who brought the truth, stand firm;

My supporters, whoever comes with sincerity, be patient

for the Romans defend their deceitful faith.

For the Romans will defend their false religion

حاشاكُمُ يا عابدِي الرَّحمن أن

حاشاكُمُ يا عابدِي الرَّحمن أن

تضهِنوا لِقَومٍ يَعبُدونَ صَلِيبا

تضهِنوا لِقَومٍ يَعبُدونَ صَلِيبا

Far be it from you, O worshippers of the All-Merciful, to

You worshippers of the Merciful, far be it from you

yield to a people who worship a cross.

To be softened towards a people who worship the cross

فالدين مَنصُورٌ ولكن نَصرُهُ

فالدين مَنصُورٌ ولكن نَصرُهُ

قد صَيَّرَتهُ ذُنُوبنا مَحجُوبا

قد صَيَّرَتهُ ذُنُوبنا مَحجُوبا

For the faith is granted victory, but its victory

The religion is victorious but its victory

has been veiled by our sins.

Our sins have made obscured

والحَقُّ يَدمَغُ باطِلا لَو لَم يَكُن

والحَقُّ يَدمَغُ باطِلا لَو لَم يَكُن

حَقاً بأهواءِ النُّفُوسِ مَشُوبا

حَقاً بأهواءِ النُّفُوسِ مَشُوبا

And truth would crush falsehood, were it not

And the truth shall vanquish falsehood even if

a truth tainted with the passions of souls.

It is tainted by the whims of souls

تُوبُوا عبادَ الله تَوبَةَ مُخلِصٍ

تُوبُوا عبادَ الله تَوبَةَ مُخلِصٍ

لِلّهِ تَمحُو بالمتَابِ الحُوبا

لِلّهِ تَمحُو بالمتَابِ الحُوبا

Repent, servants of God, with the repentance of one sincere

Repent, o servants of God, with sincere repentance

in devotion to God, wiping away sin through repentance.

That erases sins with the penitent

واستقبلوا للنَّصرِ وَجهاً مُبدِياً

واستقبلوا للنَّصرِ وَجهاً مُبدِياً

فَتحاً كما وَصَفَ الكِتَابُ قَرِيبا

فَتحاً كما وَصَفَ الكِتَابُ قَرِيبا

And, for victory, turn toward a face revealing

And turn to victory with a hopeful face

a conquest, near at hand as the Book described it.

An opening as the Book has described imminent
