وأقبل العيد فاستقبل به جذلاً

وأقبل العيد فاستقبل به جذلاً

واهنأ به قادماً عمّت بشائرُهُ

And the festival has arrived, so welcome it joyfully.

The holiday drew near, so I welcomed it eagerly,

And rejoice in its coming; its glad tidings have spread everywhere.
