وما عسى تَبلُغُ الأمداحُ في شَرَفٍ

وما عسى تَبلُغُ الأمداحُ في شَرَفٍ

أمداحُهُ سُطِّرَت في مُحكَمِ السُّورِ

أمداحُهُ سُطِّرَت في مُحكَمِ السُّورِ

And how far can praises go in extolling such nobility,

What can praises achieve of a nobility?

Whose praises were inscribed in the unambiguous text of the Qur’anic chapters?

Whose praises are inscribed in the verses of scripture

أفنيتُ عمري في أمداحِ دولَتِكُم

أفنيتُ عمري في أمداحِ دولَتِكُم

يا ربحَ هذا الذي انفَقتُ مِن عُمُري

يا ربحَ هذا الذي انفَقتُ مِن عُمُري

I have spent my life in praise of your dynasty;

I have spent my life praising your state

Oh, what a gain from this portion of my life I have spent!

Oh what a profit is this I have spent of my life
