الحمدُpraise حقُّtrue الحمدِpraise للرّحمنto the All-Merciful
الحمدُ حقُّ الحمدِ للرّحمن
كافيwarding off العدوّthe enemy وناصرِand supporting الإيمانِfaith
كافي العدوّ وناصرِ الإيمانِ
Praise, true praise, belongs to the All-Merciful,
Praise truly belongs to the Most Merciful
Who wards off the enemy and upholds faith,
Sufficient for the enemy and supporter of faith
ومكيِّفِand fashioning الصنعِthe handiwork الكريمnoble ودافِعand averting الthe
ومكيِّفِ الصنعِ الكريم ودافِع ال
خَطبِcalamity العظيمِgreat وواهبِand bestowing الإحسانِgoodness
خَطبِ العظيمِ وواهبِ الإحسانِ
And fashions noble handiwork and averts the
And modifier of noble creation and repeller
Great calamity, and bestows goodness.
Of great misfortunes and giver of benevolence
فيin كلِّevery أمرٍmatter للمُهَيمِنbelonging to the Guardian حكمةwisdom
في كلِّ أمرٍ للمُهَيمِن حكمة
أعيَتproved baffling علىto الأفكارِthoughts والأذهانِand minds
أعيَت على الأفكارِ والأذهانِ
In every matter, the Guardian has wisdom
In every matter for the Guardian is wisdom
That has baffled thoughts and minds.
