نُصيرُNuṣayr ليسnot المُردُthe beardless youths منof شأنهhis concern
نُصيرُ ليس المُردُ من شأنه
نُصيرُNuṣayr طَبٌّan expert بالنكاريشِwith thick-bearded men
نُصيرُ طَبٌّ بالنكاريشِ
Nuṣayr has no interest in beardless youths;
Nusair is not one to refute
Nuṣayr is adept with thick-bearded men.
Nusair is agreeable with frankness
يقولhe says للنكريشto the thick-bearded man فيin خَلوةٍseclusion
يقول للنكريش في خَلوةٍ
مقالَspeech ذيone possessing لُطفٍgentleness وتجميشِand flirtatious teasing
مقالَ ذي لُطفٍ وتجميشِ
In private, he says to a thick-bearded man,
He says to the frank one in seclusion
In words of tenderness and flirtatious teasing:
Words of gentleness and playfulness
هلwhether لكfor you أنto نلعبwe play فيin فَرشِناour bedding
هل لك أن نلعب في فَرشِنا
تقلبَtumbling الطيرِthe birds المراعيشِthe quivering ones
تقلبَ الطيرِ المراعيشِ
Would you like us to play in our bed,
Shall we play on our carpet
Tumbling like quivering birds?
Turning like frolicking birds
