وافتر عن عتباه بعد عتابه
The genial spring donned the mantle of his youth,
Spring wore its youth coldness
And smiled, revealing his favor after his reproach.
And uncovered its coquetry after coyness

متبرجا لوهاده وهضابه
The king of seasons endowed the earth with his wealth,
The king of seasons adorned the land with its riches
Displaying his finery to its lowlands and hills.
Exuberantly displaying its valleys and plateaus

وأراك بالاشجار خضر قبابه
Thus he showed you, through blossoms, the embroidery of his robes,
I see you with lights and adorned with its coldness

At evening he gilded them with the late-afternoon sun,
Last night the setting sun takes it away

وثنى العيون جنائبا بجنابه

فرحا وأنطق جهرنا بصوابه
For the chamberlain in whom hopes rest, he made his mouth smile,
With the hoped-for eyebrow, its mouth smiled
In joy, and gave voice to our proclamation of his sound judgment:
Joyfully and our voices loudly spoke its rightness

He brandished the lances, and they trembled in fear of him,
It shook the mountain tops and they thunder from its fear
And mounted the noble steeds, which then gloried in him.
And the steeds rose up, so they began to pride themselves on it
