with deep longing for the people of al-Dakhul.

I kept sleepless watch with it, and it kept watch with me all night,
until I saw its reproach grow feeble.

And dawn unsheathes keen swords of its radiance,
and night lifts the curtains of its darkness.

And the wing of night seems a jet-black steed,
bearing white stockings from its dawn.

to speak, the reproacher would have been the one reproached.

when they drew near his palm to kiss it.
