بالله كيف النديمه

ياذا السجايا الكريمه

By God, how is the companion

O you of noble character

عذراء تعبق شما

وانت تعبق شيمه

A chaste maiden, redolent with fragrance

While you are redolent with nobility

أحبب بها بكر نور

من البهار يتيمه

I fell in love with the unique light of dawn

A helpless orphan from the spring

فتلك عندي والعو

د لا نديما جذيمه

She is with me while the return

Is not a nasty companion

فاصبب غديت عليها

من المدامة ديمه

So I poured upon her

From the wine skin continuously

والدهر يرضي فبادر

من الزمان غنيمه

And time is satisfied, so take advantage

Of the days, a precious bounty

وانعم بدوله ملك

ثنى الغيوث لئيمه

And enjoy the kingdom of a just king

Protected by the Most High, the Defender of the oppressed
