إنّ أنوشَرْوان ما فيهِ

إنّ أنوشَرْوان ما فيهِ

سوى قيامٍ لمُرجّيهِ

سوى قيامٍ لمُرجّيهِ

Indeed, Anushirwan has nothing in him

Anushirwan has naught

Except rising for the one who hopes in him.

But hope for those who hope in him

الجودُ كلّ الجودِ في رجله

الجودُ كلّ الجودِ في رجله

وإن تعدّى فإلى فيهِ

وإن تعدّى فإلى فيهِ

Generosity—all generosity—is in his foot;

All generosity lies in his foot

And if it goes further, it reaches his mouth.

And if exceeded, in him

روّجْ لراجيك ولو حبّةً

روّجْ لراجيك ولو حبّةً

واقعُدْ على العرشِ من التّيهِ

واقعُدْ على العرشِ من التّيهِ

Encourage the one who hopes in you, even with a grain,

Promote to your beseecher even a grain

And sit upon the throne in haughty pride.

And sit on the throne though lost
