بَكَتshe wept عَلَيَّfor me غَداةَon the morning of البَينِparting حِينَwhen رَأَتshe saw
دَمعِيmy tears يَفيضُoverflow وَحالِيand my state حالُthe state of مَبهُوبِbewildered (likely intended: مبهوت)
She wept for me on the morning of parting, when she saw
My tears overflowing, and my state that of one bewildered.
فَدَمعَتِيso my teardrop ذَوبُmolten ياقُوتٍruby عَلىupon ذَهَبٍgold
وَدَمعُهاand her tears ذَوبُmolten دُرٍّpearl فَوقَabove ياقُوتِruby
So my teardrop is molten ruby upon gold,
And her tears are molten pearl upon ruby.
