May his imam's favor gladden the leader of excellence,
The excellence of the Imam of excellence is proven by his own excellence,
and his decree, in his Iraq and his Syria.
And his register in Iraq and Syria.

Indeed, what has overflowed from his forgiveness
Indeed, that which has overflowed from his forgiveness,
is many times what has overflowed from his bounty.
Is multiples of what has overflowed from his bestowal.

His sincerity of intention and holding fast his reins,
are his sincere intention and the binding of his pledge.
Is better for him than his gifts and his bounty.

Nothing is more beneficial than the kindness of his heart,
and his turning away from his reproach and blame.
And his withdrawing from reproach and blame.

O pride of the kingdom of the Fatimids, he who
favored them in the cradle, before he was weaned.
Endowed them the cradle before weaning,

Whatever was done seeking success pretentiously,
in his words, his deeds, or his aims.
In word, deed or purpose,

Verily the one who shoots penetrating arrows,
shoots, yet not all his arrows hit their mark.
Shoots though not all his arrows hit.

Deserving is a striving man whose effort brings you more
One who strives seeking your increase deserves
benefit when you increase the honor you show him.
To benefit, if you increase his honor.

Whom your praise distracts from sweet slumber.

You would find your love in the rubble of his bones.

As obligatory as his prayers and fasts.

Their kings perfume themselves with his speech.

War sufficed since the days his sword was tied to his waist.

That extinguish it, else they would have burned from its flaming sparks.

They bowed to what they wrote on his standards.
