عَينُ مَريضٍ أبصَرَت وارِثا
The eye most heated by sorrow ever to turn its gaze
The warmest eyes have turned their gaze,
is a sick man's eye that has seen an heir.
The eyes of one ill have spied an heir.

Assail your surplus wealth, willingly
Bear the abundance of wealth content,
or unwillingly; do not hoard a source of grief.
Or grudging, store not up for ill.

And plough for your heirs, for each man shall meet

What he has prepared to harvest.
