وَيُريدُ أن يُجزى بإح

وَيُريدُ أن يُجزى بإح

سانٍ على النَّفسِ المُسيئَة

سانٍ على النَّفسِ المُسيئَة

And he wishes to be rewarded with kind-

He wants to be rewarded with kindness

ness for the soul that does wrong.

For the soul that did evil

ويُحِبُّ تعجيلَ الثَّوا

ويُحِبُّ تعجيلَ الثَّوا

بِ وعَقدُ توبتِهِ نَسيئة

بِ وعَقدُ توبتِهِ نَسيئة

And he loves the hastening of the re-

And he loves to hasten reward

ward, while his pledge of repentance is deferred.

While his repentance remains weak

لَيست تَفيءُ وهمُّها

لَيست تَفيءُ وهمُّها

في كل غُنمٍ أن تُفيئَه

في كل غُنمٍ أن تُفيئَه

It does not turn back in repentance, and its concern

His delusions do not fade

In every gain is to acquire it as spoils.

For in every pasture he wants to roam
