How long can the yearning lover hold on to patience?
How much patience can the longing one possess
When avoidance lasts too long, it becomes estrangement.
If avoidance is prolonged, it becomes estrangement

ونطفي من لهيب الشوق جمرا
Let us gather blossoms from the gardens of companionship,
We will pluck a flower from the gardens of companionship
And quench embers from the blaze of longing.
And extinguish a coal from the flames of passion

فنحيا لذة ونموت سكرا
And let the third and second strings sound together,
And be accompanied by the good and the beautiful
So we live in delight and die intoxicated.
So we live in pleasure and die intoxicated
