واشْتغالي بكَ عن كُلِّ شُغْلِ
O you so long estranged, do not forget our union,
O you who are long estranged, do not forget my love
And my absorption in you, to the exclusion of every other care.
And my preoccupation with you over all else

O crescent above the cheek of a gazelle
And slender branch beneath which lies a mound of sand!
And a rod below it striking soft sand
