O exquisite pearl that captivates minds,
O pearl that captivates minds with elegance
And young gazelle, deft at tearing hearts apart!
And a thread that gently pulls at hearts

Never have I seen or heard of his like:
I’ve never seen nor heard of anything like it
A pearl that turns to carnelian out of bashfulness.
A jewel that shyly blushes coral red

And when you gaze upon the beauties of his face,
And when you look upon his beautiful face
You see your face drowned in his radiance.

O you whose waist is softly slender
Why is your heart not tender?
Why is not your heart tender?
