كأَنَّماas though النَّاسُthe people أَقْذاءٌspecks of grit علىupon بَصَريmy sight
كأَنَّما النَّاسُ أَقْذاءٌ على بَصَري
Estranged from all people—every one of them—
Feeling estranged from all people, every one of them,
As though people were specks of grit in my eye.
