ونُؤيٍ كدُمْلوجِ الكعابِ ودمنةٍ

ونُؤيٍ كدُمْلوجِ الكعابِ ودمنةٍ

تُذكِّرُ مِن وَشْمِ الخضابِ رسومُها

تُذكِّرُ مِن وَشْمِ الخضابِ رسومُها

And a trench like the armlet of maidens, and an abandoned campsite—

whose traces recall the tattoo-like markings of dye.
